Elijah Buell sold the land to William Joyce and David Joyce, owners of the Clinton and Lyons Railroad. Mule-drawn cars were used to travel to the park, but by 1891, electric cars began to be used. By 1902, the park was served by a eight-mile rail line. The park is free to enter and it is also possible to ride the Eagle Point Railroad for 5 cents.
